Jenn Laskey, a USC alumni with a degree in communication and theater, and music industry veteran with A&R, scouting, and management background, has staked her claim in the LA event and nightlife scene, beginning in December of 2001. Currently RedLight plans/produces/promotes a variety of special events for both private event planning clients and public/tastemaker event marketing / PR driven events. Laskey also has hosted a number of weekly club events actively noted in the press, and is currently hosting/promoting Wednesdays at Crown Bar and Thursdays at Winstons, as well as a monthly 1920s themed event at historic landmarks across Los Angeles including The Oviatt Penthouse downtown and Campanile on La Brea. |
Laskey also currently holds the prestigious position of Director of Special Events & Marketing, the West Coast’s first eco-friendly nightclub, ECCO Ultralounge in Hollywood (www.eccohollywood.com) She has also been the past director of Special Events + Marketing and propelled much event business and press for; 86 speakeasy in Hollywood, Blue Velvet downtown , and Les Voyous in Hollywood. Jenn has always had a strong passion for the arts the fusion of visual and performing arts into Hollywood nightlife, creating past events such “ArtEffect” Thursday nights at Medusa Lounge & “BodyRock” Friday Nights at Ivar. Laskey Created “ArtEffect” fueled by a desire to fuse tastemakers and industry professionals from the Hollywood nightlife scene with the creative cultures and art worlds of Silver Lake, in a venue of architectural brilliance rich with history. The event showcased both up and coming DJs as well as established names, playing outside-the-box artistic music; soulful sounds crossing all genres. Additionally inspiring creativity, audio artistry is coupled with featured visual art installations at select events. She also achieved much notoriety for her similar artistic vision through the invention of the BodyRock Friday night event (2005-2006) at club Ivar, which is a fusion of the Hollywood club scene, and the artistic worlds of music, fashion, dance and live art/gallery exhibitions. Most recently she has created ERA, a 1920s theme event, which debuted in June 2009, inspired by her great passion for the era, namely 1920s/1930s historic architecture and design. Nightlife is evolving and ERA was created to revisit this amazing historic time, mesmerizing guests with sites of the architecture, sounds of the vintage and modern live music & DJ, sights of guests decked out in vintage 20s gear, and much much more. Laskey is rightfully deemed “L.A.’s key to nightlife.”
